Chickadee Nature-Based Preschool Schedule

Pricing: $30 per half day session (Payment due by tenth of month cash, check or Venmo)
Student/Teacher ratio never more than 6:1

Where:

We will meet each morning at my home in Somers, where the first half of our time together will be spent between indoor learning and outdoor play in our fenced backyard. The remainder of our time will be spent outdoors, learning through nature. We are in close walking distance to Flathead Lake State Park (Somers Beach Unit), and most of our time will be spent along the lakeshore there and in neighboring woods.

(A land acknowledgement is a statement that recognizes and shows respect to the indigenous people who were the original inhabitants and stewards of the land in a particular area. Land acknowledgments are being used more widely across the United States in recent years.)

We acknowledge that we are gathering on the traditional territory of the Salish, Kootenai and Pend d’Orielle people. We recognize the historical and continued presence of these tribes in the Flathead Lake area. We are grateful to them, and honor them and we will show our gratitude by demonstrating good stewardship to the land.

When:

Preschool for children ages 4-5 will be offered Tuesday and Thursday, 9:00-noon. Playschool for children ages 3-4 will be Wednesdays, 9:00-noon.

9:30 Morning Meeting: Greetings & Songs

Lesson: Letter of the Week, Story, Workbook, Art, or Craft

10:15 Snack

10:30 Outdoor Time: Play and Learn through Nature

12:00 Dismissal: Reflection, Song, Pick-up
